who would order these factory installed seats? I sat in these seats at the auto expo and although they held me tight like I wanna but these are thin racing bucket seats in a Juke!?*&$ and would be uncomfortable after like 15 minutes.

And what exactly is the point. Sure this is the Nismo RS Juke but track seats in a non track like car? Throw some nicely bolstered normal cushioned seats in there and forget about the 20 lbs savings.

me! had solid mounted, non-adjustable seats in my daily for years. Found them more comfortable than the stock seats. And parts of my back are made of metal, so I know back pain.

hmm interesting. I still stand by my opinion that these seats are kinda crazy in a mini crossover.

Any recommendations for seats for my miata?

Because it is one step away from having a GT-R motor

A somewhat-cheap OEM upgrade would be NB2 seats, otherwise I heard Lotus Elise seats are very nice...though I’m not sure how comfortable they are.

You’re the other bolted back person - I was trying to remember! And I agree, I hate cushy unsupportive seats now.

Tricky, I’ve seen a few miata builds and seats wide enough to fit most humans, and rise up either side of the legs so as to be supportive (i.e. you are sitting in the seat and not “on” the seat) seem to not fit.

one of the most comfortable seats I’ve sat in is the buddy club

but I only enjoyed the wide version, and in at least one miata build I followed they returned their wide to get the regular because the wide didn’t fit.

I hear some miata folks use lotus’ minimalist seats, although they dont look like they have much lateral support

edit: found the build where they sent back the wider budduclubs

they appear to be running a cage with door bars though, so potentially not an issue in a stock miata

I have a Sparco Rev in my Mk1 MR2 and it fits me like a glove. I daily drive it when there’s not snow and ice on the ground and I drove all the way from Cincinnati to Birmingham in it. It only starts to get uncomfortable after a long time since you can’t really move your butt or change position. The MR2 is pretty small so I’d imagine it would fit a Miata just fine.

Have you sat in a C63's seats before? They are hilarious - I could feel the bolsters clamping the sides of my ribcage.

I’ve sat in the seats in the pic you linked; Recaro Sportsters, I think. As sport seats go they’re pretty normal.

ME! I would order those. And I would get them in red and black velvet if I could.
